Michigan May Madness 2014

Registration Fee:
$8 + $2 per event.  Cash will not be handled at the door, so make sure to register by the end of the day May 7th -- no at-the-door registrations will be allowed. 

Cubing Club members that have paid dues can enter free of charge. 

Format:
The first round of the competition will be a standard average of 5 for every event.  The second round will officially be recorded as a Best of 1 for all events, but the real feature of the second round is that it will be a singe-elimination, head-to-head tournament.  Winners will advance to the the next "round," while the others are eliminated.  Your solve in the first round of the head-to-head will be WCA official, and all following solves will not be official, but will determine the victor of each matchup in successive rounds.  Final rounds based on the "Best of 1" round may be offered if time is remaining.    The champion of this round will receive $100 cash prize.

Bracket Competition

We will post the first round of 3x3 as soon as possible to open a bracket prediction competition.  Click here to enter your bracket, we should post the names of those who qualify shortly after the first round.  Send in your predictions quickly - the best bracket will win their choice of a Weisu, Weilong, or Lingpo cube.

This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at CubingUSA's Competitor Tutorial.
