Fantastic Manhattan Competition 2016
Date: Saturday, August 20th, 2016
(the URL saying Manhasset is a typo)
Sadly, registration is full, we had to limit it to 50 competitors because of limited venue space.
If you paid around 6/24, and your name disappeared from the registration list, this is because of an error with the website that occured that day, contact us with the payment/transaction details and we will work it out and make sure you get registered for what you paid for.
Some important notes about the competition: this won't have 3x3 or traditional events really, so it might not be an ideal first competition to go to, (don't worry, another Manhasset competition is likely planned in the future with traditional events!) ;)
We will have pizza, details will be announced sometime in the future.
Due to venue space limitations, there is a 50 competitior limit, so don't procrastinate registering. Registration is complete when you pay the registration fee and your name shows up on the competitor list.
Spectators are welcome! (just try to help out somewhat please)
Also, because of concerns with it getting messy with scheduling BigBLD attempts, you are limited to do only 7 events out of the 10 we are holding.
Also, the registration fee is a bit steep as you can notice, apologies for that; this is because since there is a low competitior limit of 50 people, we needed to raise the registration fee so we can cover the cost of the venue. Registration fee is $20 and must be paid online via Paypal. If you are unable to pay with Paypal, contact us. If you absolutely can't pay with Paypal, please contact us.
People will need to be relatively quiet because we will be holding blindfolded events, so no freakout/loud cheering if there is a WR or something.
MBLD/4BLD/5BLD attempts will be done when you are not competing in other events, we will schedule/work it out with you when you want to do your BLD attempts.
This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at CubingUSA's Competitor Tutorial.
