It is recommended that all new competitors be present for the rule explanation in the morning. You must be present and checked in at least 30 minutes prior to your first event in order to compete.
For lunch, the DoSeum does have a cafe which serves sandwiches, salads, etc. There is also a variety of restaurants nearby on Broadway Street. Food and drink is allowed in the theater where the competition will be held, but not in the rest of the museum, so please dispose of any trash appropriately before touring the exhibits.
