* By Public Transportation
Walking: From Broad Street Station: Walk 3 blocks south on Broad Street to Washington Street.
From Penn Station: The light rail stops near the Library (see below). New Jersey Transit buses #72 and #76 from Penn Station stop near the Library. If you are coming from New York City and are taking the Path Train, You can take the Path into Penn station and follow the directions above.
Light Rail: Traveling from Penn Station: Get off at the Atlantic Street stop (near the post office). Go left onto Bridge Street and up one block to Washington Street. The Library is across the street.
Bus: New Jersey Transit buses #59 and #66 stop on Washington St., while #11, #13, #27, and #41 stop on Broad St. near Washington St. Buses #72 and #76 from Penn Station also stop near the library.

* By Car (from Newark Public Library website)
Driving from the West or Garden State Parkway: Take the Garden State Parkway north or south to Exit 145, then follow signs to Route 280 East.
Route 280 East: Take right-hand fork of I-280 East, following signs toward Harrison. Use Exit 14 for Martin Luther King Boulevard. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right. Make a left at the next light onto Orange Street, then the first right onto University Avenue. Proceed south on University to the Museum parking lot at the corner of Central and University Avenues. Make a left onto Central Avenue, then a left into the Museum parking lot.
Driving from the East or NJ Turnpike: Lincoln Tunnel to New Jersey Turnpike. Exit 15W to I-280 West. Proceed on 280 West to Exit 14B. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto State Street. Make a sharp right at the first light (under the bridge) onto University Avenue. Proceed south on University to the Museum parking lot, at the corner of Central and University Avenues. Make a left onto Central Avenue, then a left into the Museum parking lot.
Routes 24, 78 or Raymond Blvd.: Take downtown Newark exit for Route 21 North. Turn left onto Raymond Boulevard, then right onto Washington Street. Entrance of parking lot is on the left immediately after the intersection with Central Avenue.
Routes 1 & 9: Follow signs for Route 21 (McCarter Highway). Turn left onto Raymond Boulevard, then right onto Washington Street. Entrance of parking lot is on the left immediately after the intersection with Central Avenue.
Please be advised that parking is limited. There is no parking lot, and due to the crowded nature of the city, parking may be difficult.
* By Air
If you are flying to the competition, you should fly into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Then take NJTransit to Newark Penn Station and take the #72 or #76 to the library.
You could also fly into JFK (in Brooklyn, NY) or La Guardia (in Queens, NY) and take the trains to New York Penn station to catch NJ Transit to New Jersey.
