Qualifying Times

In order to register for CubingUSA Nationals 2017, you must first set qualifying times in each event in which you plan to compete. These times must be set in any WCA competition by Monday, May 8, 2017. These qualifying times, along with time limits and cutoffs, allow us to run an efficient competition and ensure that the top competitors are able to compete.

You will only be able to register for events in which you already have a qualifying time in a WCA competition. If you qualify for additional events by May 8, you will be able to add them to your registration until June 1. Lists of upcoming WCA competitions: US-only, All Regions

You must qualify in at least one event to register. Note that registration opens on January 8, and there will be an 800-competitor limit. If you qualify for at least one event, we recommend that you register for them first, as we have limited spots.

We will be asking organizers across the US to hold less commonly held events to ensure that competitors have a reasonable opportunity to qualify for these events. These events may be labeled as “qualifying competitions”, but it is not necessary to attend a “qualifying competition” to qualify for CubingUSA Nationals 2017. Any official WCA result made before the deadline is sufficient, including those from before this announcement.
