Minnesota Open 2012

The Minnesota Open returns for its sixth year. Once again, cubers from around the region will have a chance to compete to see who can solve the fastest. This competition is recognized as an offical World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at the Competitor Tutorial.

Since this is an open competition, anyone is allowed to compete regardless of where you live or your nationality.

^- Event will have 3 rounds.  *- Event will have 2 rounds.  As always, other events may be added on the day of competition.

Registration

Registration is done online. Register here. When you register, you can choose to pay your registration fees online or you can pay the day of the competition. Registration closes on June 19th at 11:59 PM. After that, you will be limited to only certain events (3x3, 2x2, Magics, and Pyraminx).

Fees

If you pay the fees online, the cost will be $4 for the first event, and $1 for each additional event. If you pay the day of the competition, the cost is $5 for the first event, and $2 for each additional event (please have exact change). The fees go towards the cost of running the competition, prizes, etc. Any funds beyond that go towards future competitions. If you register with a CubingUSA account, you can pay the fees at anytime before the registration deadline.

Lunch

We'll have some pizza available for purchase. There are also many restaurants nearby.

After party

We'll be heading to somewhere for food and cubing.
