FMC Duel: Competitors face head-to-head solving a cube one move at a time, while a chess clock is used to maintain a 2:00 time limit per competitor. The starting competitor starts the clock and scrambles the opponent's cube, and ends their turn by switching the clock to count down for the opponent. This starts the second competitor's turn, where they will scramble the opponent's cube and then perform one move on their own cube that was scrambled by the opponent, then switch the clock back to the opponent. Competitors now go back and forth taking turns doing one move and then switching the clock, and the first competitor to solve the cube wins. Some notes:
- Moves must be OBTM, which does not allow slice moves.
- Competitors must touch the chess clock with a hand that was holding the cube when a move was made.
- Competitors may hold the cube in their hands and examine during their opponent's turn.
