1. In the first round of events with cutoffs, all competitors will get 1 solve (for Mean of 3 events) or 2 solves (for Average of 5 events), and only those who solve under the "cutoff" time will be allowed to complete their mean/average. Cutoffs are implemented in order to keep the rounds on time and the competition running smoothly. Cutoff times are chosen with this goal in mind, and are set at a reasonably competitive limit.

2. The time limits are strict times after which the competitor will not be allowed to finish his or her solve. The reason for this is the same reason that there are cutoffs.

*Note: Competitors in 4x4 Blindfolded and 5x5 Blindfolded may complete a maximum of 3 solves, but must complete all solves within the time allotted for each event. At the main judge's discretion, competitors may not be allowed to start a solve within the last twenty minutes of the time allotted.

°Note: Competitors may choose to compete in either 4BLD or 5BLD, but they may not compete in both, as the two events will be occurring at the same time. If a competitor registers for both events, they will be removed from 5BLD by default.

Cutoffs, numbers of rounds, and numbers of competitors allowed to the next round are all subject to change.
