In events with a soft cutoff, every competitor gets two attempts to complete a solve faster than the cutoff time. If you complete at least one of your two attempts faster than the cutoff time, you will be allowed to finish an average of 5. Otherwise, your best time will be recorded as your result.
The hard cutoffs are strict times after which the judge will stop you and your result will be recorded as a DNF (Did Not Finish). Once you have recorded two DNFs, your average will be recorded as DNF.
There are fast food restaurants nearby in San Marcos. Food and drinks are allowed inside the venue. Please make every effort to keep the venue clean and dispose of any trash appropriately.
Note to competitors:
The first main event of the day will start promptly at 9:00 a.m (non-FMC). It is recommended that you be present for the rule explanation in the morning, especially if this is your first competition. However, this is not a requirement, and you are able to check in throughout the day. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your first event to check in so you'll be able to compete.
